UN Day marks the anniversary of the entry into force in 1945 of the UN Charter. With the ratification of this founding document by the majority of its signatories, including the five permanent members of the Security Council, the United Nations officially came into being.

UN Day at Expo
On 24 October 2021, Expo2020 observed United Nations Day as an Honor Day with a variety of official events. This included an official visit from the UN Deputy Secretary General Amina J. Mohammed with a special ceremony at the iconic Al Wasl Dome and an exciting cultural performance by the Emirates Youth Symphony Orchestra (EYSO), which is a unique group of young musicians in the UAE and the world, devoted to cultivating the musical talent of young people, by creating a cultural and artistic environment for young talents for audiences of all ages. The UN Hub also featured an art exhibition about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and a photo exhibition titled "The World We Want", to highlight the role of arts and photography is shedding light on social issues and the 17 goals of the 2030 Agenda.
